Stealth Heist
This stealth heist simulation features a first-person interactive experience where sneaking into the ‘vault’ is the main objective, looking out for guards who display many behaviours including patrol logic, detection systems and updatable peripheral vision dependant on the player.
Built using Blueprints in unreal engine.
Detection
Interactable objects are set up with a shared interact interface, the rocks that can be thrown to distract guards being one of them.
The AI logic for the guards notice when a rock has been thrown near by, exiting its current patrol to investigate the disturbance before returning to its previous state.
cone of vision
The guards cone of vision is directly affected by the players decision to either crouch and sneak or to walk upright.
state machine
The elevator was designed to act as a state machine that is constantly either in one state or another.
when a button is pressed within the elevator a series of steps will occur, dependant on the current state the elevator is in.
